The Maternal Wellness Circle (MWC) is designed to create a safe space for pregnant Black/African American mothers to acquire health, wellness, and community; through art and the preparation of raw plant-based meals.
Due to community geography and transportation insecurities, MWC will provide transportation vouchers for participants. The promotion of a pregnant women’s sister circle that encompasses art and food is meant to be an alternative way of coping with stress, loneliness, and unanswered questions during pregnancy while promoting community relationships and healing.
